Long-term Monitoring of the Implementation of the Youth Strategy in City of Ljubljana 2016 – 2025
Implementation: Metka Kuhar
The purpose of this research was to gain systematic insight into the situation, characteristics and behaviour of young people in Ljubljana. This project continued the tradition of youth research in the municipality and followed the areas highlighted in the Youth Strategy 2016–2025 of the City of Ljubljana, such as youth centres and the infrastructure for socialising for young people; youth work, programs and projects for young people; youth education and training; youth employment; youth housing; a young and healthy lifestyle; and young people and leisure (including culture and sports).
The core research methodology was an online survey of 793 young people living and/or educated/working in Ljubljana. The sample was representative of an age-diverse population of 15 to 29 years. The survey was conducted in November 2017 and supplemented by nine semi-structured interviews with young visitors to youth centres in Ljubljana.
